Josh Walston
Josh Walston is a PhD student in the Geography Department at the University of Nevada Reno in Dr. McAfee’s applied climatology lab. He enjoys exploring process-based research topics that investigate the characteristics and impacts of extreme weather and climate events, with particular interests in large-scale modes of variability, high-latitude variability, land-atmosphere interaction, and regional climate modeling.
Prior to joining AK CASC as a Graduate Fellow, Josh worked at the Western Regional Climate Center as a service climatologist and aided in the dissemination of climate data and information, as well as assisted in various research projects.
