Anna Spiers
Anna is a forest and fire ecologist with the AK CASC and University of Alaska Fairbanks. She earned a Ph.D. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder and a B.A. in Mathematics from Williams College. She is interested in how forests respond to natural and human-caused disturbances like global warming, fire, habitat degradation, and their interactions. She is proud to work in publicly funded science with the AK CASC that aims to serve and be communicated to the public.
