Krista Heeringa serves as a coordinator for the Alaska Tribal Resilience Learning Network. In this role she has the privilege of learning from diverse Indigenous communities across Alaska and working collaboratively to address critical challenges posed by climate change.

Krista was born and grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska. She completed her B.A. at UAA in Political Science, and her M.A. at UAF in Rural Development. However, she credits her years of working with tribes, primarily in interior Alaska, for gaining a holistic perspective on how best to support Alaska Native communities as they work towards their vision for long term resilience and sustainability.
